Golden Openings, Inc.
Golden Openings, Inc. was founded to create new business openings through inspirational events which provide a meaningful impact and foundation for long-term success. Our mission is to create memorable ceremonial events through unique, customized products, creativity and world class customer service. We aim to be the trusted expert and provider for all of our customers' ceremonial product and event experience needs.
We are passionate about taking active leadership roles in our community.
Kimberly Baeth has served as a director on four community boards:
-Urbandale Economic Development
-National Association of Women Business Owners
In 2015, the President of Quality Manufacturing (who manufactured our first giant steel scissors) passed away after battling brain cancer. In his honor, we organized and hosted a major fundraiser: “Cutting Out Cancer in our Community.” This event raised $25,000 for John Stoddard Cancer Center.
In 2016, shock and heartbreak hung over central Iowa after two police officers were killed in the community. In response, we created a Central Iowa Blue Ribbon Campaign. Our staff hung two 8-foot blue bows on our police stations, and we acquired 35,000 yards of blue ribbon for grieving residents and businesses. We coordinated pick up sites for ribbon distribution and group outings to tie ribbon around trees/lampposts. The entire metro area was covered in blue ribbon.
In 2017, Kimberly was asked to deliver the key-note commencement address for a local university. She delivered the address with the same energy and passion that she uses in her business and received many accolades from the administration and students.
